Big Peach Ride + Run
Thursday, January 16th – 6:30pm – Olympian Jenny Simpson’s 50-State Running Tour
Olympian Jenny Simpson will be visiting Big Peach Ride + Run as part of her 50-state running tour this Thursday evening! Jenny is on a mission to inspire others to live life with a sense of adventure, explore our backyards and be inspired by the people and places that make this country beautiful. You can meet and run with Jenny Simpson. All abilities are welcome. Jenny is a retired American middle and long-distance runner. She won a bronze medal at the 2016 Rio Olympics, gold medals at the 2011 World Championships and silver medals at the 2013 and 2017 World Championships for the 1500-meter distance.

Wednesday, January 22nd & Wednesdaym January 29th, 12pm-2pm – Intermediate American Mah Jongg with Rocket Mahjong
This two session class picks up right where the beginner class left off – if you didn’t take our beginner class, the prerequisites are:
· Able to identify the tiles, suits, matching dragons, neutral tiles.
· Understand the terms pair, pung, kong and quint.
· Familiar with the NMJL card and how to build hands.
· Understand general rules for Jokers (where you can use them and how to exchange them).
· General rules of play.
What will be covered:
· The first class will start with a rule review and a deep dive into the 2024 card.
· The second class will do a detailed strategy lesson on the Charleston.
· Third class will go over early, middle and late game strategy.
· Lots of practice playing on some of our favorite tile sets.
